Day 14 - 14th May 2013 (TREC 1000)

Tomorrow sees the 'official' launch of TREC 1000, and the involvement of renowned photographer & documentary/film maker Steven Lyon.

Capturing the 'truth' about rhino poaching, including the ugly underworld element, as well as taking a fresh look at these living, prehistoric, gentle giants, will help to raise awareness globally to an all-time high.
It is 'public pressure' upon the policy makers of nations, government departments and companies affiliated with the trade, that will affect change... People Power DOES work.

A portion of the 1,000kms documenting the beauty of the natural surrounds will include visiting local villages and schools . At these schools we will talk about conservation and specifically 'rhino poaching'.  Books will be distributed aimed at educating the teachers as well as the children of our communities. We want to spend time with the children .... they are our future after all so deserve the effort and input. Camping in the villages documenting community life will further this cause.

The serene, rejuvenating African bush will also be on show, displaying its' mini miracles daily. Do please join us each day and share in our journey.
